Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Now what do we do and how do we respond? Another four years of the advancement of soft tyranny? Many are angry and frustrated
looking to blame whoever" for this loss.
However anger and frustration will get us nowhere. We do not have time to wallow in despair for there is
much to do. If we give up then
we give the ultra-liberals exactly what they want.
Instead we need to take to heart what Thomas Paine said
I love the man that can smile in trouble that can gather strength from distress and grow brave by reflection. Tis the business of little minds to shrink but he whose heart is firm and whose conscience approves his conduct will pursue his principles unto death.
Are we as a people willing to pursue liberty opportunity and true American values or are we just going to capitulate and tolerate the degrading culture. It is time for us to decide to step up and stand firm for our principles pray for our leaders and pray for creative strategies to turn the culture around. As many as 3 million conservative voters did not vote in this election for various reasons and that is one of the main reasons we lost.
These 3 million were persons who stood firm for their principles and could not cast a vote for the moderate" and Mormon Romney. If you were among this group then you
know how to stand for your values and principles. Now we need you back in the fight as we simply must unite and persevere. United we stand and stand we must.
Therefore it is important to remember to hold fast to this wisdom from James 1:2-4: Consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete not lacking anything.
It is in the tough times when Americans unite and it is in times of persecution when Christians unite. So let the uniting begin. Setting aside our personal agendas and doctrines let us work together to improve the United States of America securing the future for our childrens children.
Besides the fact that 3 million conservatives did not vote the demographics demonstrate that the other issue in play today with the youth vote (30 and under) Hispanic vote Black vote and womens vote is a lack of knowledge. We have an uneducated electorate because our education system (K through graduate school) has willfully neglected teaching the basics and preparing students for work.
Instead they are more into indoctrination into the environmental movement global citizenship and multiculturalism (instead of Americanism). Our founding fathers valued education and knew that a Republic would only succeed if the citizens were educated.
In addition we have 24/7 leftist indoctrination from the media via television programming movies music videos magazines and the internet. The result is a population that relies on their feelings and emotions instead of common sense and logic. This is leading us to become more and more uncivil and lawless. You get the drift. This is not new information. Many of us have recognized this trend for years.
The question then is how we begin to overcome these problems. I have several suggestions as to how we can address these issues.
First and foremost we must put tools in the hands of parents and grandparents equipping them with the truth regarding Americas Christian heritage the Constitution and basic civics instruction. Civics has been neglected and most under the age of fifty know little about how our system works and why it is structured as it is. In addition for too
long the so called experts" have been telling parents that they should let their children discover their own value system and not force our values and faith on them. Consequently many parents have turned over the responsibility of training their children to the schools and churches.
This approach has failed to produce educated citizens with a true American identity and work ethic. The majority of children raised in church leave after they reach college age. The old adage that children learn by observing is quite true. When parents are more intent on being best friends with their children they are relinquishing their number one responsibility that of being the parent.
How can we be so lackadaisical in allowing others to influence the values our children adopt instead of ours? Could it be that we are not clear about what we believe?
The good news is that my book:
We the People: Know the Past Understand the Present Secure the Future makes it easy for families to begin this process. This is a book for such a time as this. It is available on Amazon.
Second we need a PR makeover in how we speak about Conservatism. We need to frame our conversation in a winsome way that attracts instead of a strident way that repels. Finding ways to relate to each of the above groups in ways that they can understand that what we want for all Americans is achieving the American dream. Right now they are convinced we want to hinder them and keep them down.
Finally as part of number two above the Republican Party and Tea Party need to work together to reach out to all of these communities. The GOP has been reticent to go into minority neighborhoods. If we approach outreach relationally asking what the needs are and what we can do to help you and your neighbors we can begin to turn things around.
Only by putting ourselves in situations where they are exposed to us in a positive way will they be able to realize we are not the racist bigots hate mongers and homophobes they are told we are. This may require partnering with charities ministries and churches who serve these communities.
I believe these three points are the key to attracting more of these citizens to want to be productive citizens who can achieve the American dream. Education will be the bi-product when relationships are formed.
In addition I am convinced that in all we do that we introduce the basic values of the 10 Commandments. It dawned on me a couple of months ago that the 10 Commandments laid the foundation for civil society. Since we have stripped these rules from American society we have become less civil and more lawless.
Think about it. We owe it to all future generations.
Honor justice and humanity forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us.
We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them if we basely entail hereditary bondage on them. --Thomas Jefferson (1775)
