Cornyn joins Small Business tour running thru August 26th
Texas Insider Report: Wichita Falls Texas U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon) today announced that he will embark on a multi-stop jobs & economy tour to meet and talk with business people throughout the 13th District as part of his continuing efforts to respond to the concerns of local businesses.
Small business is the economic engine that creates jobs and growth not just here in our part of Texas but across the country. Unfortunately the policies coming out of Washington right now are not aligned with the priorities of local business people and other Americans" said Thornberry.
The tour begins Monday August 23 and runs through Thursday August 26 and is scheduled to include stops in:
- Wichita Falls
- Jack County
- Vernon and
- Amarillo
Thornberry will visit a wide variety of businesses including construction oil and gas producers information technology machinists energy and other service-oriented companies.
This tour helps give local businesses a voice and gives me a chance to learn more about their valuable experience and personal perspective on what can be done to help provide them some of the confidence they need to expand operations hire new

workers or offer competitive wages" Thornberry said.
As part of his district-wide tour the Congressman will also address the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce and Industrys Eggs and Issues Breakfast" and introduce U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) who will also be in attendance.
In Amarillo he will join the Amarillo Rotary for a lunch discussion.
