Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Today Texas Commissioner of Agriculture Todd Staples announced his endorsement of Republican State Representative Jim Landtroop for House District 88. Commissioner Staples stated Jim Landtroop is a fiscal conservative we can rely on. Jim is a proven leader when it comes to fighting for private property owners rights and ensuring government lives within its means.
As Vice-Chair of the Rural Caucus and member of the Agriculture and Livestock Committee Representative Landtroop worked alongside Commissioner Staples throughout the 82nd Legislative Session on issues relevant to farming and ranching. Commissioner Staples has been a great advocate for our agriculture industry and I am honored to have his support in my re- election. Thomas Jefferson said it well: Cultivators of the earth are the most valuable citizens.
They are the most vigorous the most independent the most virtuous and they are tied to their country and wedded to its liberty and interests by the most lasting bands. Commissioner Staples and myself are charged with protecting our farmers and ranchers from governmental overreach especially as it pertains to water and the EPA. I look forward to our continued partnership to achieve this goal on behalf of the many farmers and ranchers in HD88 stated Rep. Landtroop.
Representative Landtroop has also been endorsed/supported by Texas Farm Bureau Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Texas Cattle Feeders Texas Grain and Feed Texas Seed Producers and Texas Wheat Producers for his good work on behalf of farmers and ranchers.
