Seeks Republican Nomination for Newly Created House District 149
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Cedar Park City Councilman Tony Dale announced his candidacy for the new Texas House of Representatives seat in Williamson County on Tuesday evening. Dale a Republican was joined by local civic leaders Republican activists and friends for the announcement. The new district HD 149 includes Brushy Creek Cedar Park Leander and northwest Austin.
Im running for State Representative because I believe in protecting the common-sense conservative values that have made Texas great" Dale said Low taxes and fair regulations that have given us the best jobs climate in America; pro-family policies that respect life; and the belief that the best government is limited local and accountable."
Western Williamson County is a special place and Ive been proud to call it home for over a decade" Dale said. This is my home. It has given so much to me and I want to give back."
Dale is a U.S. Army veteran husband and father of two children. He served on the Cedar Park Planning and Zoning Commission from 2007 to 2009 and the Cedar Park Charter Review Committee from 2008 to 2009. He was appointed by the Williamson County Commissioners Court to several boards and committees. He has also been appointed by the Texas Railroad Commission to a board charged with studying alternative fuels.
The issues facing our state are enormous" Dale said. We need to improve our education system with real reform not just throw dollars at it. We need to end the diversions of transportation dollars that are holding up much-needed infrastructure. We need to push back against Washingtons unfunded mandates demand more resources to secure the Texas border and fight to end Obamacare."
