Torres Launches Grand Opening of Campaign Office

width=71Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas  State Representative Raul Torres candidate for Texas Senate District 20 officially opened his campaign office in Nueces County and kicked off block-walking in Nueces County. With the opening of this office we begin a new phase in this campaign in reaching out to the people of Texas Senate District 20 Torres said. On Saturday I was joined by supporters to help spread our message of honest transparent government improving our schools and creating jobs for the future.  During Saturday morning Torres met a large group of supporters over coffee and donuts and delivered brief remarks to help rally the troops for the block-walking campaign.  They knocked on approximately 200 homes on Saturday.  The  Nueces County campaign office is located at 1205 Airline Road Corpus Christi Texas 78412. Its time for the people of Senate District 20 to take back their government and elect someone who can truly represent their interests and values. For too long they have waited for solutions to the most pressing issues affecting South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley.  While the current incumbent continues to prosper economically thousands of people from District 20 are unemployed living in poverty unable to make enough to support their families dropping out of schools and failing to obtain a college degree or a career job skill.  This is morally wrong and unacceptable to the hard working people of South Texas. The South Texas community cannot stand four more years under the current failed leadership of Senator Hinojosa.  He has failed to keep his promises resulting in locally owned pharmacies closing their doors. He has failed to obtain adequate funding for our children in school. resulting in teachers being laid off. He has failed to eliminate burdensome regulations that prohibit jobs creation. We can instead choose a different path and begin the work of turning education and the economy around so that anyone in South Texas that want a job can find a job.  This is what the people of South Texas want  said Representative Torres.
