momentum building. You see people coming together because theyre interested to see how youre going to help solve their problems said State Rep. Raul Torres while announcing his recent recognition by some of Texas leading grassroots & business organizations.

most followed elected official in South Texas on Twitter … we have over 30 videos up on YouTube each one touching on an issue that is important to our area.
As a business owner and licensed Certified Public Accountant Rep. Torres also noted his being able to pass vital legislation during his first term as a member of the Texas House of Representatives.
Specifically Torres pointed to his leadership resulting in the passage of SB 563 which has the potential to save Texas taxpayers approximately $10-$15
billion per year. He also authored HB 1316/SB 977 in order to restore $77 million of state funding to local cities and counties.
The people in South Texas are struggling. They have almost 12 unemployment and almost a 50 drop-out" Torres said.
The Texas Municipal League recognized Torres as one of its Legislators of the Year as part of his passing other key legislation to benefit Texas military personnel families and business owners.
This incumbent has failed them (Senate Dist. 20) now for 10 years or more. He has not been their voice and we are going to represent their values and be their voices in Austin.

that benefit the people of Texas. We believe its
time for a change in leadership in District 20" said Torres.
