Campaign gains momentum with influential trade association endorsement
Texas Insider Report: LUFKIN Texas TREPAC the political arm of the Texas Association of Realtors that is widely regarded across Texas announced its support of Trent Ashby in the campaign House District 57 Republican Primary race for Texas House of Representatives to represent.
TREPAC Chairwoman Kaki Lybbert applauded Ashbys commitment to Texas homeowners.
The next legislative session will be filled with difficult decisions and we need lawmakers at the state level like Mr. Ashby who has proven locally as an elected official that he understands the critical role homeownership and a healthy real estate industry play in keeping our state prosperous" said Lybbert.

The association said electing lawmakers who understand homeowners concerns and act accordingly to bolster homeownership in Texas is top priority this election season. As a Lufkin School Board member Ashby is involved in the political process at all levels promoting policies and supporting initiatives in the best interests of property rights and 
homeownership throughout the state the association said.

As the most influential trade association in the state the Texas Association of Realtors expects to be a considerable grassroots force for Ashby.
The Texas Realtors have championed a number of pro-consumer legislative and regulatory causes such as
- Eliminating most transfer fees on real estate transactions
- Fighting for meaningful homeowners association reform
- Pursuing changes to the property appraisal systemm and
- Advocating for billions in property-tax reductions in 2005
step towards our path to victory in the May 29th Republican Primary.
Ashby said that the next legislative session would offer unique challenges and that the voters of the newly drawn House District 57 deserved a strong voice in Austin to deal with those challenges.
