Too many Americans have shed their blood for our nations freedom & the American cornerstone of that freedom is our precious right to vote said Representative Price late last night as the Texas House passed the comprehensive voter identification bill known as S.B. 14.
The bill requires any person seeking to cast a ballot in state and federal elections to present proof of identification before voting. The bill now heads back to the Senate for consideration.
When there is even a thought of voter fraud it undermines our American way of life - that of one person one vote said Price.
Representative Price further commented
I am very pleased to have cosponsored and voted for this bill. Overwhelmingly my constituents like many Texans wanted meaningful voter identification legislation passed. I am thankful for Speaker Joe Strauss leadership in bringing the bill before the House so quickly for a vote.
State Representative Price represents Carson Moore Potter and Sherman counties. He is the only member from the region serving on the House Natural Resources Committee and the House Culture Recreation & Tourism Committee.
