“With most of our statewide officials either retiring or running for higher office, voters are called on to make momentous decisions in the primaries and in the general election to follow,” said moderator-to-be Woolley.

“Each of these candidates brings his own unique point of view as they discuss and debate the issues that will propel Texas into the next generation,” Woolley said.

“The position of Lieutenant Governor is often called the most powerful position in Texas politics, deciding which bills come to the floor. For that reason, it is important that the people of Texas have the ability to attend these debates or to have them covered by news organizations,” said John Alaniz, an official with the Central Texas Tea Lt. Gov Candidates Forum Salado 1-28-14Party.

The venue for this forum is the beautiful Tenroc Ranch, off Interstate 35, just two miles west of Salado. Salado, Texas is located halfway between Waco and Austin. The debate will take place in the Blue Heron Room.
