
HCR 50 - Resolution asserting state rights is stalled on a point of order brought by Senfronia Thompson (D-Houston). Senator Patrick says there is an effort to bring it back today.
SB 1164 - Concealed Carry Bill to allow licensed concealed handgun owners to carry guns on college campuses passed 2nd reading in the Senate yesterday by a 20-10 vote. The bill needs final approval in the Senate and should be heard today then will move to the House.
SB 182 - Dan Patricks Ultrasound Bill is being carried by Rep. Frank Corte in the House. HB 36 yesterday passed out of the State Affairs Committee with an 8-4 vote. The bill has now cleared both the House and Senate committees.
Sen Rodney Ellis bill to ban smoking in indoor workplaces SB 544 died yesterday before reaching the Senate floor. Though many supported the new bill including Lt. Governor Dewhurst it failed to receive the necessary number of votes to reach the Senate Floor. Bill supporters yesterday declared the bill dead late yesterday afternoon.
