Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas This is a decision that should be considered and voted on by the United States Congress not an executive order by one man sitting in the White House said State Senator Jeff Wentworth (R-San Antonio) yesterday while describing President Obamas executive order as amnesty for some young illegal immigrants and an unwarranted intrusion by the President to rejuvenate his sinking reelection campaign.
A blanket mass forgiveness of violations of federal law is unprecedented un-American and unforgiveable he said. This is an insult to our countrys founding fathers and a shameful end-run around our constitution."
Wentworth continued
Some countries are run by dictators but the United States of America is not one of them. We have three branches of government and Obama just by-passed two equally important ones -- Congress and the Courts.
Wentworth is one of only three Republicans in the Texas Senate who has a 100 voting record against taxpayer subsidies for illegal aliens. Wentworth is also a co-author of the states new PHOTO VOTER ID law and has helped direct funding for increased DPS and Texas Ranger patrols along the Texas Border.
