There has been much spoken and written about the Tea Party & 912 movements and to what degree if any degree at all there should be Republican Party involvement. There is an equal mixture of suspicion bemusement caution distrust doubt derision longing annoyance and desire.
Each knows it cannot get along without the other yet it is such an uneasy alliance that contemplating a union stirs feelings of revulsion in each party. Throw the Libertarians into the mix and youve got a Molotov cocktail of conservative thinking that cant possibly get along.
This is really petty nonsense and must stop.
Look the Democratic Party is a concoction of some of the fringiest most polarizing elements of our society anarchists Marxists socialists communists nihilists Code Pink International ANSWER abortionists atheists traitors saboteurs tax cheats just garden-variety hate-anything-to-do-with-America Bolsheviks and yet the Democratic Party controls the House The Senate and the Executive Branch.
The world is most definitely turned upside down when you take the worst a nation can offer throw them all in a big blender and hand them the keys to the Treasury. Is anyone surprised at what is happening in Washington?
So why is it then that the 912 Tea Party Republican Party and Libertarian Party people cant spend time in the same room together without performing Kabuki rituals?
Hath not a conservative eyes?
Hath not a conservative hands organs dimensions senses affections passions?
Do we not share the same values of limited government adherence to Constitutional principle belief in the Founding Fathers American exceptionalism American sovereignty individual liberty personal responsibility?
Where we differ is not in principle but in the margins. Libertarians have differing views on social issues than Republicans. So what?
At least both sides base their beliefs on Constitutional principle not on the musings of whatever pagan god the Democrats worship. And yet the Democrats control the government and like the little gremlins they are they are currently looting the Treasury with gleeful abandon incredulous that anyone could have been stupid enough to get them wet.
Meanwhile on Sanity Boulevard the only people who can possibly put out the fires in Rome 912ers Tea Partiers Republicans and Libertarians are refusing to talk to each other because somewhere along the line someone got their feelings hurt and noses are now out of joint. Well excuse me.
This is like the Army refusing to join together with the Marines in a firefight simply because the got in a barfight together once and havent spoken to each other since. This little snit going on is dangerous for the country.
Each group does not have to lose their separate identities in order to work together towards common purpose. In fact it would not be a good idea at all for any group to shed its identity to rally under one umbrella. If the Army Navy Air Force and Marines can maintain separate identities and structures yet still coordinate strategies and actions in time of war so can we.
Think about it: we have on our side the political equivalent to the Army Navy Air Force and Marines and were losing the country to an effete group of appeasing socialists who have never held an honest job in their lives?
Surely we can do better.
The time for this Kabuki dance to end is now. Immediately.
At the highest levels there must be a coordination of effort a unity of purpose. We cannot afford to run the wrong candidates in November. We cannot afford to leave either the Senate or the House in the hands of Democrats. If we do not get this right in 2010 any future debates about Constitutional issues will merely be quaint because the Constitution will cease to exist.
Yes yes the left wing media (as if there is any other kind) will howl See see! We knew it all along. The whole tea party thing is just a Republican charade."
So what? Who cares what they say? Theyve been saying it for months anyway. Let them say what they will.
We need to focus on taking back the government. Is it really that important to claim ideological purity while the country is being dismantled brick by brick? Are we handing out congeniality awards when this is all over?
We can pick up the debate on the finer points of Constitutional law when that blessed document is once again safe this fall far from the clutches of these deconstructionists.
Until then lets get together plan our work work our plan and kick some Marxist butts
