White to Testify on Electric Generation Capacity & Environmental Effects

Before House Select Committee --Invited to share expertise on Texas’ property insurance market

width=65AUSTIN – Kathleen Hartnett White Director of the Center for Natural Resources at the Texas Public Policy Foundation will testify before the House Select Committee on Electric Generation Capacity & Environmental Effects on Wednesday April 9th.

The April 9th hearing will focus on the environmental effects of electric power generation methods as well as the effects of global warming and climate change.  White the former Chair of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will discuss the economic and practical impacts of state-level proposals to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

The hearing will be streamed live on the Texas House of Representatives’ website http://www.house.state.tx.us/media/welcome.php.
