In state after state voters demonstrate support for Republican vision

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. Simply put
red states (20) outnumber blue states (14) for the first time in Gallup Tracking history.
This is the most recent evidence of a continuing trend of support for results-oriented Republican state-level leadership which has been building in contrast to the ineffectiveness of Obamas administration.
A survey from Gallup Tracking
shows more states where a majority of adults identify as Republicans than states where a majority identify as Democrats. As the head of the organization dedicated to electing Republican candidates to state-level office across the country we are analyzing a new set of great information.
At the beginning of the Presidents second term twice as many Americans had a favorable opinion of their state government than the Obama-led federal government. And citizens of Republican-led states had a
more favorable opinion of their government than Democrat-led states by nearly 10 points.
And the red state trend can be seen in more than just voters opinions and self-identification but also in who theyre electing and reelecting. From 2008 to today voters have spoken loudly by electing:
- 9 additional Republican governors (now at 31)
- 10 lieutenant governors (now at 32)
- 7 Secretaries of State (now at 28)
- 9 Attorneys General (now at 27)
- And most striking Republicans have gained around 900 new seats and made gains in 86 out of 99 state legislative chambers leading to a party-record 69 of 99 chamber majorities.
That trust in the party is paying off in real growth and increased economic opportunities in their states and neighborhoods. Last year CNNs top four states with the fastest growing economies were led by full Republican legislatures and eight of Forbes top 10 best states for business had fully Republican legislatures while none of those 10 were fully Democrat.
One of the best examples of voters positively responding to the results they are seeing from their Republican governments is in Wisconsin. In 2010 Wisconsin voters in a state that hasnt voted for a Republican presidential nominee since 1984:
- Flipped both legislative chambers from blue to red.
- The legislature along with Governor Scott Walker and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch enacted bold ideas to fix the state and put the needs of students and voters ahead of the wants of special interests and unions.
- Despite the Chicken Little cries from liberals voters in Wisconsin stuck with Republican principles and policies through seemingly endless recall efforts and continue to see positive results.
As we helped to do in Wisconsin
the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) is advancing this trend in all 50 states. As the only national organization whose mission is to elect numerous down-ballot state-level Republican office holders the RSLC has worked tirelessly to help make the improving landscape a reality. In the Obama era we have
raised and spent more than $120 million to help this important cause and see to it that this impressive new wave of quality candidates are elected to make the kind of important changes families need.
In order to ensure states have the best candidates and leaders the RSLC launched the Future Majority Project and Right Women Right Now initiatives to identify recruit train and support new diverse and women candidates at the state level. These efforts are building a more effective democracy that better reflects the communities being served by successfully helping to elect hundreds of new exciting candidates to state-level office in red purple and blue states.
This bottom-up results-oriented Republican philosophy provides a stark contrast to an ineffective Obama-led top-down federal government that has Americans feeling more forgotten disrespected and divided by Washington than ever before.
In state after state the voters are demonstrating their support for a Republican vision that offers new better candidates and impactful policies. Thats a Republican secret weapon that will make this November look a lot different than it did at
the beginning of the Obama Era.
