Last week, every single Democrat voted against cutting waste and preventing tax hikes on hardworking Families & Small Businesses when we passed a fiscally responsible Budget Resolution in the House that sets the stage for Extending the Trump Tax Cuts, Securing our Border, Unleashing American Energy, and Reining in Reckless Spending. This is the first step in undoing the damage of the past four years and restoring a pro-America Agenda – but don’t be misled by the liberal media’s fear tactics.

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick: Statement on the Unanimous Passage of Senate Bill 28 — Banning Lottery Couriers

In April of 2023, the biggest theft of citizens’ money happened when a foreign syndicate purchased 26 million $1 tickets in the Lotto Texas game. The winning prize had reached $95 million. Those tickets were all bought within 72 hours of the winning numbers being announced. The Lottery Commission not only inexplicably allowed this to happen but also provided extraordinary assistance in facilitating the printing of these tickets in several courier locations, one of which had little to no experience in printing tickets.

MOORE: The Biggest Tax Increase in History is Coming, if Congress Doesn't Act

Here's our analysis of what happens if the Democrats have their way and the Trump Tax Cuts of 2017 are not extended – or are allowed to expire over the coming few months. For starters, if the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act expires, the standard deduction for Married Couples will be cut to $16,525 in 2026, versus $30,725 if the tax cut remains. This means about four times as many – millions more Americans – will have to itemize deductions, making tax preparation much more complicated. But it gets worse.
