60% of U.S. Voters Believe FBI Biden Cover-Up is 'Likely,' says Latest Rasmussen Poll

Voters believe it's “likely” that top FBI Officials have helped Cover-Up Wrongdoing by Biden, family members

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — As House Republicans said they would file Contempt of Congress charges against FBI Chief Christopher Wray this week, a majority of “Likely U.S. Voters” from across the nation say they believe FBI leaders have tried, and are trying to cover up the growing scandal that involves President Joe Biden and his family's business dealings.

When asked if they believe FBI Officials tried to cover up a formal FBI Informant Report that allegedly details a $5 million bribery scheme involving an exchange of money for policy decisions between President Joe Biden and a foreign national, a majority of voters told the latest Rasmussen Reports National Telephone & Online Survey conducted June 4th-6th that:

  • 60% of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is “likely” that top officials at the FBI have helped cover-up wrongdoing by Biden or his family members,
  • 33% don’t believe an FBI cover-up is likely,
    • including 16% who say its “Not At All Likely”
On Monday, House Oversight & Accountability Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) revealed that the FBI informant's FD-1023 file covered a $5 million bribery scheme allegedly linking President Biden to his family’s business dealings, which included activities with foreign adversaries of the United States.

An FD-1023 record exists in order to memorialize a confidential human source’s conversations with a foreign national, who in this instance claimed to have bribed then-Vice President Joe Biden.

The FBI file originated from an interview the FBI conducted with the informant, who is reportedly a “highly credible” FBI source, with a history of providing information to the agency that dates back to the Obama Administration.

The FBI and Director Wray had for weeks denied the existence of the FD-1023 document, and had refused to comply with Chairman Comer’s subpoena to turn over the complaint.

Hours before the House Oversight & Accountability Committee on Wednesday planned to vote Mr. Wray in Contempt of Congress, the FBI agreed to permit all members of the House Oversight & Accountability Committee to review the unclassified file.

The Rasmussen Reports Survey of 999 Likely U.S. Voters has a +/- 3% margin of sampling error, with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research.
