Honoring Our Service Members in Congress
As the son of a WWII B-17 bombardier, I am always grateful for opportunities to honor our veterans who, like my father, risked everything for the sake of freedom. This week, I had the privilege of attending the Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony to honor the Army Rangers of WWII. These members of the Greatest Generation risked their lives to liberate Europe and defend the free world. It was a tremendous honor to meet two of the five remaining WWII Army Rangers and to personally thank them for their incredible service and sacrifice.
Our nation’s veterans and service members deserve to be well cared for, which is why I am proud to have voted to pass the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act this week.
