Alzheimers Association
West Texas Chapter
I had an incredibly moving morning with the Alzheimers Association West Texas
Chapter listening to the testimonies of patience heart ache and frustration
from those who have lost a loved one to Alzheimers. It takes an incredible
amount of courage for these folks to share their experiences while coming
together to fight for a cure. I am happy to support further research toward a
cure for this cruel disease.

Youth Advisory Council
The Spring 2019 CYAC meeting for the San Angelo region was outstanding! These
students came prepared to discuss pressing questions about the most recent
government shutdown. Questions like what is its purpose?" who does it
affect?" and why did the shutdown occur?" were explored debated and
answered. Thank you to all of the members who participated. Its refreshing to
visit with these young constituents and listen to their ideas. These kids are
our future.

Senior Life Midland
Id like to extend a huge thank you to the incredible staff and volunteer base
at Senior Life Midland. The countless hours these folks put into making sure
our West Texas seniors are taken care of is remarkable. The assistance programs
and companionship opportunities they provide initiate a better quality of
living every person deserves. I enjoyed delivering meals earlier in the week as
well as learning more about this relentless organization and the good
samaritans keeping it going.
