Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock Marks 100 Days of Service

“We’re operating at the speed of business, not the speed of government."

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock marked 100 days of service, reflecting on the agency’s work to strengthen the state’s fiscal position, expand transparency and data accessibility, support major policy initiatives and respond quickly to emerging challenges.

“It’s been a tremendous honor over the past 100 days to work alongside the dedicated public servants of this agency and meet with Texans in every corner of the state about how our office can best serve them,” Hancock said. “The Comptroller’s office plays a critical role in managing the state’s finances and serving communities across Texas and continues to uphold its long-standing reputation for fiscal responsibility.

“We’re operating at the speed of business, not the speed of government. We’re moving quickly to implement Texas Education Freedom Accounts, provide funding opportunities for flood emergency warning systems, launch new economic data tools like the TexStats Regional Data Dashboard, and modernize the state’s core financial systems. Looking ahead, we’ll keep building on this momentum — always keeping our primary goal in mind: serving Texas taxpayers.”
