After NYC, the DNC looks DOA

By Arthur Schaper

On June 24th, 2025, New York City Democratic Primary voters elected a Muslim-Indian trust-fund baby socialist, born in Uganda, preacher of all things anti-white, anti-American, anti-capitalist, anti-Israel, anti-common sense, as their party nominee to replace Eric Adams. In other words, a male Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez with more intersectionality is the front-runner to be the next mayor of the Big Apple. Should they just start calling themselves the Rotten Apple, Beaten Apple, or just Apple Core?

Zohran Madmadi wants government-run grocery stores. He wants to tax white neighborhoods higher than other boroughs in the city. He has supported every radical, left-wing policy under the Bernie Sanders banner as far back as ten years. From defunding the police to fleecing the billionaires, Mamdani is following in Sanders’ socialist slouchings.

One could argue that the blame should not fall squarely on the Democratic voters. The other major Democratic nominee for mayor, disgraced former governor Andrew Cuomo, put COVID-19 patients in nursing homes, fell into numerous corruption and ethical lapses, then resigned following revelations of sexual improprieties

This circus of crazy, communist, or corrupt came full circle for New YorkersIn 2013, Anthony Weiner ran for mayor after resigning from Congress over sexual misconduct. The fact that someone like that had the chutzpah to run for office again just boggles the mind. New Yorkers elected Weiner’s challenger, crypto-communist Bill de Blasio.

In 2021, Eric Adams (once a registered Republican) won on restoring public safety, but his mayoralty has fallen on hard times. Yes, he supports the police, but he can’t shake the abject progressivism gripping the political structure in the city. He complained about the migrant crisis, then started working with Trump. Those actions are beyond taboo for the Woke White Liberals running Gotham.

Dear New Yorkers, do you really hate yourselves that much? Perhaps it’s time for your government to invest in “I Heart New York” T-shirts once again.

The NYC Democrat dilemma is a microcosm of the Democrats’ growing problems across the country. They have veered from communists to incompetents, and they are on track to elect another communist as the next mayor of the largest city in the country. Something is wrong with New York City, true, but the same pattern of corruption, communism, and incompetence defines the leadership of Los Angeles (Karen Bass, who was vacationing in Ghana while the Palisades burned) and Chicago (Brandon Johnson, who openly promotes illegal aliens over American citizens and promises DEI until he dies).

Congress is not faring much better. Hakeem Jeffries takes “resistance selfies” by himself on the steps of Congress. Rose DeLauro embarrassed herself with cringeworthy Wannabe Gen Z talking points in a video. And then you have the Ghetto Mistress Jasmine Crockett. She’s loud, proud, sucks up all the attention in a crowd, and if she’s the face of the Democratic Party, that crowd will get plowed. She’s annoying, and she’s not talking about issues that normal people care about.

Frankly, Democrats in general have made it clear that they don’t care about normal people at all! From men in women’s sports to open borders, from mutilating kids with “gender transition” surgeries to demonizing the Jewish State, to parading with arrogant rich kids protesting their privilege at six-figure tuition universities, the Democratic Party is not endearing itself to the voting public.

The cancers of communism, corruption, and incompetence have infected the Democratic Party, and they cannot recover. James Carville admitted that his party can no longer run away from the “socialist label.” US Senator John Fetterman (who is more likely to become an Independent as the Democrats get crazier and Pennsylvania gets more Republican) saw the Mamdani primary win as Christmas in July” for Republicans going into 2026.

Is the Democratic Party doomed this time around? It sure looks like it, as they continue down the pathway of their own political, self-inflicted destruction.

Then again, perhaps these remarks are premature. After all, corporate media talking heads have long decried the demise of the Republican Party. Pat Buchanan lamented that the demographic changes in the United States would erode the white, male base of the GOP, and they would become a forever minority. However, the latest Pew Research results put that fear-mongering to rest. Trump has broadened the GOP base without running from the cultural conservative norms.

Also, Democrats picked up three House seats in California, while everywhere else moved to the right. Those candidates bucked their party, focusing on public safety, supporting California Prop 36, and working hard to keep themselves free from Kamala Harris (the epitome of communism, corruption, and incompetence).

Progressive voters are abandoning the Democrats, too, finding their voice in Bernie Sanders, who sounded off on the threat to democracy posed by the Democratic Party. They rigged the primary against him in 2016. In the 2016 Iowa caucus, six of the caucuses were decided by a coin toss, and all of them went to Hillary. In 2020, Joe Biden was crashing and burning against Bernie Sanders, and yet the DNC Establishment pulled every string to get Biden across the finish line, starting in South Carolina. In 2024, the Democratic Party's top brass ousted Joe Biden and installed Kamala Harris, who had polled at 1% in 2019, without consulting primary voters.

This is not what democracy looks like, and (increasingly former) Democratic voters are waking up. More polling indicates that the American public is fed up with the Democratic Party, as well.

Quinnipiac reported that the Democratic voters were turning on their own leaders.

CNN found out that many Americans do not view Democrats as capable of getting anything done.

Newsweek reported that a record 59% were not optimistic about the Democratic Party’s future.

And who can forget the record low 27% approval rating for the Democratic Party just two months into Trump’s second term?

Trump has broadened the GOP coalition, while Democrats continue to alienate not just their own base, but basic human decency.
