"Border communities are tired of the broken promises and empty rhetoric coming out of Washington. The time to act is now.”
Texas Insider Report: EAGLE PASS, Texas – “Today I spent the day in Eagle Pass, discussing a real path forward out of this crisis with Border Patrol Agents, local officials, and one of the most vocal advocates for fixing this problem – Elon Musk," said South Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23,) after having given the Texas resident and globally recognized businessman an extensive tour of a Texas-Mexico Border Crossing, after Musk said earlier in the week,
"They're being overwhelmed by unprecedented numbers – so I'm going to visit Eagle Pass later this week to see what's going on for myself."
"Elon has brought more attention to the Southern Border with this one visit, than has our own President – and I'm confident that his coverage will shed light on this issue for all Americans to see,” said Cong. Gonzales.
“Over the past two weeks, 10s of 1,000s of migrants have arrived illegally with no end in sight," said Gonzales, providing Musk an update on the immigration crisis occurring along the Souther Texas-Mexico Border – the epicenter of which is in Eagle Pass, Texas.
"This is a national security and humanitarian disaster, and the need for action is no different than when a hurricane strikes – yet Washington’s response has been to point fingers, stall on solutions, and grind our government to a halt," said Gonzales, the South Texas Congressman who represents the state's 23rd Congressional District.
"Border communities are tired of the broken promises and empty rhetoric coming out of Washington. My border district is in a state of crisis – the time to act is now," said Gonzales.
