With Veterans’ Benefits Under Attack by Biden, Cong. Babin Fights to Protect Those Choosing Not to Get the COVID-19 Vaccine

“The President wants to relabel and punish these honorable service members and strip them of the benefits they've earned."

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) issued the following statement on his new bill, the Our Veterans Earned It Act (H.R. 5892). He introduced this bill to ensure no service member loses their VA benefits for choosing not to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

“I will not stand by and watch while Biden steals from our veterans what they’ve bravely earned,” said Babin. “My bill will stop this president’s disgusting and totalitarian overreach in its tracks. Our service members didn’t fight to protect our freedom just to have their own freedom taken away.”

“I am astounded that the Biden Administration is even entertaining the idea of denying benefits to members of the military who served honorably but decide not to get vaccinated,” said Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05).

“This is a shocking betrayal. Joe Biden’s callous attempts to punitively strong-arm our men and women in uniform must be stopped,” Lamborn said.

“The men and women of our U.S. military, those who protect and defend their fellow countrymen, are being threatened into government submission through an unconstitutional vaccine mandate,” said Congressman Pete Sessions (TX-17).

“The President wants to relabel and punish these honorable service members and strip them of the benefits they've earned.

"Patriots and I will not tolerate this treatment of our active military and veterans. I support Congressman Babin’s efforts to look after those who’ve selflessly served our great nation,” said Sessions.
