Taking Flight at the Houston Air Show
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Last week, I proudly joined my friend, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, at Port Houston for a roundtable discussion. Secretary Duffy made two major announcements that will propel our energy and maritime industries forward and strengthen American leadership in both sectors: a massive rollback of burdensome regulations and the approval of a deepwater port license off the coast of Matagorda, marking a significant milestone in the Maritime Administration’s permitting process.
For decades, American shipbuilding has declined, and we've taken a back seat to foreign competitors who have filled in the gaps. Thankfully, this administration is restoring our capabilities. President Trump and Secretary Duffy have invested more than $350 million in the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, nearly $1 billion to modernize our ports, and $35 million in our nation’s small shipyards. This administration understands that energy dominance relies on a robust maritime industry. By prioritizing critical infrastructure, America is securing its position as the world’s leading energy exporter.
I’m proud of the role Texas’ 36th district plays in keeping our nation moving, on land and at sea. I will continue championing policies that unleash American energy, equip domestic companies, and expand U.S. LNG exports to global markets.
Taking Flight at the Houston Air Show

Administrator Isaacman is the real deal—an accomplished astronaut, pilot, entrepreneur, and leader who knows what it takes to push the boundaries of American innovation and exploration. I have every confidence that under his leadership, America will beat China back to the Moon and remain the world's foremost spacefaring nation.
Houston Business Forum
I always enjoy the time I get to spend at the Houston Business Forum, and this week was no different. I had the opportunity to update several leaders in the Houston region on everything Republicans have accomplished in the 119th Congress. By strengthening public safety, cutting taxes for working families, and supporting farmers and small businesses, we delivered real results for Southeast Texans.
The biggest achievement was passing the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, and the data speaks for itself. More than 29 million filers claimed No Tax on Overtime, with an average deduction of more than $3,000. 75% of those filers earned less than $100,000. More than 7.5 million filers claimed No Tax on Tips, with an average deduction of more than $7,000. These historic tax cuts put money back into the pockets of hardworking Americans, allowing families to keep what they
