As the left-wing corporate media engages in Trump Derangement Syndrome over poll numbers, which are all over the place, they never mention the fact that no matter how bad any numbers they find or manufacture about Donald Trump, they will never be as bad as the numbers for Democrats. Any Democrat. They are about as popular with the American people as an infected toe. Which would you rather have, an infected toe or a flaming case of Pelosi?
Less popular than them all are Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They’ve been gone for four months and the dislike of them and their policies, unlike their economy, continues to thrive. Kamala, in fact, remains just about the only person in American politics less popular than the former president…not that he’d be aware of that or remember it.
No matter how “low” the approval ratings get for Trump, when measured against them, he is the prom king to their acne-faced chess team captain. They always leave that stuff out of the discussion on Trump’s popularity on MSNBC and CNN. That is, of course, because they are horrible people whose ratings reflect the contempt in which the American people hold them and their “news” networks.
Throughout his presidency, I made several incursions into Delaware to see how Joe’s home state viewed his failed presidency. While the people who suffered under his rule in the Senate had Stockholm Syndrome, as they continually reelected him and vote slavishly for Democrats to this day, the people in the area where Joe lives do not like him.
Rehoboth Beach is beautiful and one of my favorite places to spend time. The Biden family managed to parlay his “public service” into millions of dollars, which allowed them to buy an oceanfront mansion and spend half his presidency like a beached whale in the sand under an umbrella.
On the boardwalk and main drag in Rehoboth there are a series of thriving surf and t-shirt shops, the type of place that sells all the things you buy on a whim and have no place to put or practical use for when you get home. My kids love everything in them.
You can get anything on a t-shirt there, from “That sounds gay, I’m in” shirts to Bluey, Taylor Swift, Philadelphia Eagles and American flags. And all manner of Donald Trump shirts.
In the immediate aftermath of the first time Democrats tried to assassinate Trump, the picture of him with his fist in the air was everywhere in these shops. But it wasn’t just the left’s attempt to murder the then former president that sold, his face was all over the windows of these shops. Him hugging the flag, him giving the finger, him smiling widely, you name it and they sold it. One of the arcades on the boardwalk has a claw machine with a Trump bear, complete with the hair, suit and MAGA hat, in a machine they put out in front of the place to draw people in. My kids won one.
What you didn’t see is any pride in being the home state and adopted home of the president, now former president, of the United States. You still don’t see it.
I have only seen one shirt ever with what could be considered a positive message about Biden, and it simply read “Biden 2024.” How’d that work out again, I forget?
There were lots of “Brandon” this or that, with “Brandon Falls” – the place where Joe fell over on his bike – nearby. There were also a lot of options where you could, were you so inclined, tell Joe Biden to go have sexual intercourse with himself.
They’re mostly gone now, like his presidency never happened (if only). You’d think the mood would turn on Trump, if only a little. With Joe gone, with the exception of one shirt reading “This is your brain” over a picture of Trump and “this is your brain on drugs” over one of Joe, he’s not visible. The gay bars, of which there are quite a few, don’t have pro-Biden/Democrat signs or anti-Trump signs. They don’t miss Joe and don’t fear Trump.
There are more “Gulf of America” shirts than anything else. And, according to the employees, they sell. Even in Joe’s backyard.
The Biden presidency ended up becoming exactly the opposite of what the career narcissist at the center of it was desperate to make it: a disastrous, despised legacy-tarnishing four-year-long regret. Had Joe just walked away, the American people would’ve remembered him as a vapid vice president and long-time senator. His ego made him need to make more, to take another bite at the apple…and he choked on it.
His only accomplishment was sucking so bad at the job before Jimmy Carter died that Carter lived to see someone worse at the job than he was. That’s not nothing, but it’s not much either.
