You’d be hard-pressed to find a jurisdiction where generational control by Democrats has led to anything but misery

I do not understand blind loyalty in politics. Its simply one of the dumbest characteristics human beings have – to be completely and unquestionably loyal to a politician or party no matter what they do is to give away every slice of leverage you have, and every bit of matter you are as an individual.
Finally – with all the calamity that is the Joe Biden White House – Democrats are losing the black vote, at least as of now. Whether his handlers can find a way to win it back by November remains to be seen, but expect them to try.I am a conservative, but I recognize that also being a Republican means I’m a member of a party with Lindsey Graham and Lisa Murkowski. Not ideal, but necessary.
There should be no politician you agree with 100% of the time, unless it’s you.
That being said, the black vote in this country has been blindly loyal to Democrats for longer than my entire life. Getting 90+ percent without even trying, Democrats have controlled major cities for generations.
And things have gotten progressively worse in those cities over that time.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a jurisdiction where generational control of its politics by Democrats has led to anything but misery.
Sure, there are pockets of success, rich enclaves in cities or states where things are better than they’ve ever been, where residents can afford to hire accountants to avoid the disastrous policies Democrats impose on other, but for the majority of black voters this simply isn’t an option.
I grew up in Detroit, the last time a Republican had any say in leading the city was January of 1962. Back then, the city was the economic engine of the country. Since then, it’s the joke you know it to have become.
Not only were there a string of worthless Mayors, a large part of the city elected John Conyers to the House of Representatives for 52 years.
The district Conyers represented was once a thriving center of black middle class, now it’s a disaster. Conyers is dead, but driving through his old district you can still see the shell of what once was – the houses that remain on vacant blocks you can tell were once nice, the empty corners you can see the husks of old businesses. John Conyers represented that area as the decline happened. The state was gerrymandered multiple times, residents had many opportunities to change direction…and they did not. When he was first elected, you would have happily eaten in a small diner in his district, when he was finally forced to resign over a sexual harassment scandal you would’ve had difficulty finding a diner in business.
In his last reelection bid in 2016, John Conyers squeaked by with 77 percent of the vote. That’s blind loyalty.
Now, finally, after generations of failure, black voters are looking at the current President and realizing Joe Biden does not give a damn about them; that he takes them for granted. This may be specific to Biden, he does have a history of racism and is uniquely condescending when speaking to minority audiences, but all the data points to something happening. And it has liberals very worried.
The Washington Post is very concerned. In a piece about black voters cooling to Joe, they write, “Writ large, the poll shows much stronger support for Biden in the Black community than among most others groups. But that support is growing less intense among this loyal constituency heading into the midterm elections, and younger Black Americans are significantly less enthusiastic about the president than older ones.”
It is unlikely Republicans would get the votes of disaffected black Americans, at least not yet (they need to earn them and, most importantly, show up and ask for them) but if people aren’t enthusiastic they are less likely to bother showing up to vote. A vote not cast for a Democrat is a good thing for Republicans.
Liberals won’t let Biden fail, however, places like the Washington Post will do everything humanly possible to prop him up. Expect a tripling down on “Republicans are racists!” rhetoric from these “news” outlets.
The Post has to find a way to reverse the trend they found with young black voters. “Age continues to be a dividing line in Black people’s opinions of Biden, continuing a pattern that was first evident in the 2020 presidential primaries. Biden’s approval rating peaks at 86 percent among Black Americans ages 65 and older, but drops to 74 percent among those ages 40-64 and to 60 percent among those ages 18-39.”
Ironically, Democrats and the media have radicalized young people, particularly minority voters, for their own purposes and now find themselves not woke enough to earn their trust or their votes.
Good.
Since they don’t understand why they lost it to begin with, get ready for some world-class pandering and race-baiting.It’s really all Democrats have left.
