Biden’s Border Chief Confirms 12,000+ Immigrant Haitians at Texas Border Released into U.S.

“I think it’s about 10,000 or so, 12,000” are being admitted into the U.S., "it could be even higher."

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) – President Joe Biden's Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, told Fox News Sunday that at least 12,000 Haitian migrants have been released into the United States after entering the country near Del Rio, Texas.

“Approximately, I think it’s about 10,000 or so, 12,000,” Mayorkas responded when asked how many are being admitted into the US, "It could be even higher.

"The number that are returned could be even higher.

"What we do is we follow the law as Congress has passed it,” Mayorkas said (at right with President Biden in February, signing Executive Orders reversing most of President Donald Trumps policies.)

“Those who are in ICE custody are tested, isolated, and quarantined. Those who are expelled under the Title 42 Public Health Authority are returned immediately. They are not placed in immigration court proceedings, and those we do not test, because they are returned immediately,” Mayorkas said.

“We have enforcement guidelines in place that provide the individuals who are recent border crossers, who do not show up for their hearings, are enforcement priorities and will be removed,” Mayorkas added.

“It is the policy of this administration: we do not agree with the building of the wall,” the DHS Chief said. “The law provides that individuals can make a claim for humanitarian relief. That is actually one of our proudest traditions.”

A new survey from Morning Consult spells more bad news for Joe Biden, with roughly 6 in 10 saying the country has “seriously gone off on the wrong track.”

“The study, conducted from Saturday to Monday, found that 61% of respondents believe the country is on the wrong track, compared to just 39% who say the country is ‘going in the right direction,’” reports The Hill.

“The survey also found a record-low overall approval rating for Biden at 47%, with 49% saying they disapproved of the president’s job performance overall,” adds the website.

Former Presidential Candidate Tulsi Gabbard also called-out the Biden Admin last week, saying the current crisis spiraling out of control along the US-Mexico is a direct result of the President’s policies.

“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the National Security Crisis on the southern border is the direct result of your open-border policy.

"As I said in my 2020 presidential campaign, we can’t have a secure nation if we don’t secure our borders,” posted Gabbard, a former Hawaii Congresswoman, on Twitter.

DHS Confirms ‘Some Haitian Migrants Being Released into the US’

Fox News’ Bill Melugin confirmed last Wednesday afternoon that the Department of Homeland Security is admitting Haitian migrants into the United States despite insisting the group will be deported via flights from Texas.

A similar report from the Associated Press claims 1,000s of Haitian migrants camped along the US-Mexico border in Del Rio, Texas are being released into the United States on a “very large scale.”

The administration originally told the press the refugees would be sent back to their home country earlier this week.

“Many Haitian migrants camped in a small Texas border town are being released in the United States, two U.S. officials said, undercutting the Biden administration’s public statements that the 1,000s in the camp faced immediate expulsion,” reports the Associated Press.

“Many have been released with notices to appear at an immigration office within 60 days, an outcome that requires less processing time from Border Patrol agents than ordering an appearance in immigration court and points to the speed at which authorities are moving, the official said,” added the AP.
