Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Representative Bill Flores (R-Texas) released the following statement regarding Attorney General William Barrs principal summary of the findings of Special Counsel Robert Muellers investigation:
After almost two years of thorough inquiry scores of federal personnel almost 3000 subpoenas and millions of taxpayer dollars spent Special Counsel Muellers investigation has been completed and delivered to the U.S. Department of Justice.
The Justice Departments recent summary of the findings makes it abundantly clear that neither President Trump nor any of his campaign personnel colluded with Russia to interfere with our 2016 elections and that there was no clear evidence of any obstruction of Muellers investigation by the president or his team. What is now clear is that the Democrats continuing partisan attacks and failure to accept the 2016 election results are a waste of time and that they should end.
Also for the sake of transparency I continue to support the full release of all legally disclosable portions of the report so that all Americans can read for themselves the Special Counsels investigation and findings.
It is time for Congress to work together to move our country forward for the sake of hardworking American families and to heal the divisions that have been created by this unfortunate fiasco. We should also work to ensure that no person group or country can ever attempt to influence our elections in the future."
