BRADY: Worried About Higher Taxes & Racked by Inflation, People of Color & Minority-Owned Businesses Are Worse Off

Headed towards a recession, worried about higher taxes, and racked by inflation, Americans have lost faith in President Biden’s ability to rebuild the economy

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. – Facing 40-year high inflation rates that have wiped out the wage gains from the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act, American families – particularly people of color – are in crisis after only 14 months of Democrats’ and President Joe Biden's economic policies.

“Many Americans believe our economy is already in a recession or depression, and have lost faith in the President’s ability to rebuild an economy that works for them,” said the House Ways & Means Committee's Republican Leader, Cong. Kevin Brady (R-TX) in opening remarks during a full committee hearing.

Key Excerpts:

“A recent survey found that people of color, and those just getting into the workplace for the first time, are the ones struggling the most with inflation.

“Minority-owned small businesses are struggling to recover from the pandemic, facing higher prices, and a labor shortage thanks to Washington’s lavish and extended unemployment bonuses, monthly stimulus checks, and Affordable Care Act subsidies that discouraged work," said Brady.
