BRADY: Rouzer Bill to Ensure Fair Tax Treatment of Combat-Injured Veterans Passed House

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C.  Today the House voted unanimously to pass the Combat-Injured Veterans Tax Fairness Act authored by Rep. David Rouzer (R-NC). This legislation helps ensure combat-injured veterans are able to recover income taxes that were improperly collected by the Department of Defense on certain disability severance payments. In a speech on the House floor Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) praised Rep. Rouzers work on behalf of our nations veterans:
We have a responsibility to support all the brave men and women who protect and defend our great nationespecially those who are injured in the line of duty … I want to thank Representative Rouzer for his leadership on the Combat-Injured Veterans Tax Fairness Act. This legislation takes important action to ensure Americas promises are kept to our combat-injured heroes and their families."
