Weve made four moves in the map since our last update and all of them are in Donald Trumps direction. Ohio Utah and Maines 2nd Congressional District are all moving from the battleground/toss-up category to lean Republican. And New Hampshire is moving from lean Democratic to a pure battleground/toss-up state says the CNN website updated.
Clintons electoral vote total is at 268 when you add up all the states that are solidly or leaning in her direction and Donald Trumps is 204 when you combine all the states that are solidly or leaning in his direction.
That leaves six remaining battleground contests worth a total of 66 electoral votes in Arizona Florida Nevada New Hampshire North Carolina and the 2nd Congressional District in and around Omaha Nebraska.
In CNNs new electoral map:
- Maines 2nd Congressional District Ohio and Utah all moved from being battlegrounds to leaning Republican.
- New Hampshire moved from leaning Democratic to becoming a battleground.
Trump has been closing in on Clintons lead both nationally and in several battleground states. Many recent polls have shown the race tightening with just four days to go before Election Day.
The six remaining battleground contests are Arizona Florida Nevada New Hampshire North Carolina and the 2nd Congressional District in and around Omaha Neb.
Although the Democratic nominee still holds an advantage CNNs map now shows more opportunity for the GOP nominee to reach the required number of electoral votes to secure the presidency. Donald Trump has 204 electoral votes when combining the states either solidly Republican or leaning in his direction.
