San Antonio 'Vets In the Park Benefits Fair' Announced by VLB's Commissioner Dawn Buckingham

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) Chairwoman and Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D. announced that the VLB is cosponsoring a "Vets in the Park Benefits Fair" with the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) and the Bexar County Military & Veterans Services Center on Saturday, October 28th in San Antonio at Mission Park 2.
 
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will include an opening ceremony with remarks by Bexar County Military and Veterans Services Center Executive Director Keith Wilson, TVC Chairwoman Laura Koerner, and VLB Executive Secretary Tony Dale.

The opening ceremony will also include an invocation by County Commissioner Rebeca Clay-Flores and a performance by Southwest High School Mariachi Group.

During the event, Veterans, Service Members and family can seek information about benefits and services provided by the 65 participating organizations. Attendees will be able to connect with crucial support including state benefits for home and land loans, long-term care facilities, and Veteran cemeteries, along with exclusive veterans benefits like employment, education, healthcare, and more.
