Land Comm. Buckingham Recognizes Weekend's Effort to Raise Funds in Support Texas Veteran's Homes

The riders will conclude their journey by honoring Vietnam Veterans at the Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home
AUSTIN, Texas (Texas Insider Report) — Texas Land Commissioner and Veterans Land Board (VLB) Chairwoman Dawn Buckingham, M.D. earlier today highlighted the importance of supporting our Veterans who were exposed to the toxic herbicide known as "Agent Orange" while selflessly serving their country during the Vietnam War.

This year, the non-profit veteran's organization Expedition Orange will hold its annual horseback benefit ride in the great State of Texas. The riders will conclude their journey by honoring Vietnam Veterans at the Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home with an "Orange Bandana Salute" in the Panhandle City of Amarillo.

Additionally, 100% of all donations made to Expedition Orange in the month of July will go toward supporting the Vietnam Veterans living in each of our nine Texas State Veterans Homes.
