The Senate is expected to vote on the largest Tax Cut Package in decades Thursday or Friday and House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) says hes confident that Senate Republicans will find a way to stand and deliver on a tax reform bill.
The House has already approved its version of the plan which would cut taxes for businesses and individuals.
Change it as they will. Make it better at every step. Thats certainly the way the House which has delivered is looking at this process between the House and the Senate Brady told CNBCs Squawk on the Street.
The ball is in the Senates court. Let the Senate do their work Brady said.
Republicans hold 52 seats in the 100-member Senate. The GOP cant afford to lose more than two votes since Democrats are united in their opposition to the bill. My request is this: Make sure you measure all (aspects) of tax reform.
Make sure youre measuring the growth not just in federal revenues but also all state and local paychecks increasing jobs coming back from overseas. Make sure youre measuring productivity and everything good that comes from tax reform done right Brady said.
