Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) joined Congressman Jody Hice (GA-10) and 93 of his Republican House colleagues in sending a letter to Speaker Pelosi calling on her to hold President Joe Biden accountable for his unconstitutional $300 billion Student Loan Forgiveness Giveaway.
In July 2021 Speaker Pelosi made the following statement:
“People think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not. He can postpone, he can delay, but he does not have that power. That has to be an act of Congress.”In response, the letter states:
“Will you commit to supporting your July 2021 statement with definitive action to stand up to this blatant overreach President Biden is enacting? His move transcends the policies surroundings student loans.
