Congressman Ted Poe (TX-02) and the City of Humble will host the 4th Annual Police Memorial Ceremony in special recognition of those Texas law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty and in honor of our heroes currently serving. Time: 9:00 AM Date: Monday May 14 2018 Location: Humble Civic Center (8233 Will Clayton Parkway Humble Texas 77338) May 13 19 2018 marks National Police Week and communities across the nation will hold similar memorial ceremonies honor local state and federal law enforcement officers for their tireless dedication and to remember those we have lost in fulfillment of their duties. Every day these brave men and women put on their uniform pin on their badge and put themselves in harms way. We are grateful year-round for their service and we take one week each year to thank them for all that they do to keep our communities families and property safe. Peace officers have protected Americans for over 200 years but our nation has formally recognized their service and remembered their sacrifices since 1962 when President John F. Kennedy first proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day. The public is invited to attend. Law enforcement agencies from across Harris County will be represented.
