Cong. Tony Gonzales Leads Congressional Tour of Biden's Border Crisis

"It's essential for my colleagues in Congress to see this crisis firsthand.”

AUSTIN, Texas (Texas Insider Report) — "In order to deliver real change for Border Communities, it's essential for my colleagues in Congress to see this crisis firsthand,” said South Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) as he led a Congressional Delegation to Eagle Pass and Uvalde in Texas’ 23rd Congressional District on Monday, holding a roundtable discussion with farmers, ranchers, 1st Responder, and Local Elected Officials – while also visiting various high-speed pursuit routes with Local Law Enforcement.

The group also received a briefing at the Uvalde Border Patrol Station, which houses unaccompanied migrant children.

“With over 820 miles of the southern border, my district is the epicenter of the border crisis,” said Congressman Gonzales.

“Through meetings with Local Law Enforcement, Border Patrol Agents, and landowners, we were able to see yet again the challenges and frustrations Americans along the border are facing every day,"
said Gonzales.

Congressional members on the visit included Representatives:

  • Aaron Bean (FL-04)
  • Monica De La Cruz (TX-15), and
  • Erin Houchin (IN-09)
  • James Moylan (Guam-District At Large)
  • María Elvira Salazar (FL-27)
