Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. – "The aid President Zelenskyy is asking for is the difference between life and death for the Ukrainian people," said Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) earlier today, after attending a virtual address from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Congress.
“Congress witnessed an incredibly powerful address from President Zelenskyy today. The United States and Congress will be pivotal in turning the tide of this war, and we must move forward with unwavering support for Ukraine.
"I believe the most powerful actions the United States can take are continued economic sanctions and implementation of a no-fly zone over Western Ukraine to support a humanitarian corridor.”
Congressman Gonzales visited Ukraine in August, meeting with local officials and veteran groups.
He served two decades in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologist.
