Congressman Williams Tours Prairieland Detention Center

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas (ALVARADO TEXAS)  Congressman Roger Williams (R-Austin) former Texas Secretary of State and Chief Liaison for the Texas Border and Mexican Affairs visited the local Prairieland Detention Center to get an update on Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the 25th Congressional District of Texas.
The safety and prosperity of this nation as well as the Americans who live in it is paramount. The first step to achieving this goal is to secure our borders and find a permanent fix to our severely flawed immigration system" said Rep. Williams. I appreciate the local ICE agents for allowing me to visit their facility as well as provide me with an update. I have always been in favor of tougher immigration laws and moving forward Congress must seek legislation that makes our country safer and stronger. However that does not include granting amnesty or creating a special pathway to citizenship. We must end chain migration end the visa lottery program and ensure that no federal funding is being used toward sanctuary cities. It is my hope that we can do all of this with the goal of inspiring people to legally pursue the American Dream.
