Today Congressmen Jim Costa (D-CA-16) and Pete Olson (R-TX-22) Co-chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Victims Rights Caucus introduced House Resolution 90 encouraging stronger efforts in the fight to end human trafficking and advocating in support of victims and survivors.
Human trafficking is both a worldwide atrocity and a very local evil occurring right in our own backyards" Rep. Jim Costa who also co-founded the Victims Rights Caucus in 2006 said. We must coordinate our national state and local efforts to end this heinous crime plaguing humanity. As Co-chairs of the Victims Rights Caucus Congressman Olson and I will continue leading bipartisan efforts in Congress to eradicate all forms of human trafficking and modern slavery once and for all."

It clearly states every survivor of sex and labor trafficking has the right to be truly recognized… and should be treated with the same justice respect and dignity as other victims of crime."
There are more than 40 million victims of human trafficking worldwide. Since 2006 The Victims Rights Caucus has led bipartisan efforts in Congress to represent the interests of victims of crime generate awareness about violent and sexual crime in our country and increase resources available to law enforcement to combat the problem.
