Jordan describes crisis as “the worst we’ve ever seen,” toutes Gonzales’ efforts to get legislation passed in House of Representatives
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — On Monday evening, Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) held a Town Hall call with Congressman Jim Jordan (OH-04) to update Texans on the situation at the U.S. Southern Border. Gonzales and Jordan called for the Senate to take up H.R. 2, which both Republicans say is the strongest border security legislation in history.
Jordan described the current crisis as “the worst we’ve ever seen,” and touted Gonzales’ efforts to get the legislation passed in the House.
The pair also discussed their intent to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Articles of Impeachment were filed by Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green last week after 2 Americans were tragically killed by a human trafficker during a high speed chase.
The wreck happened in Batesville, Texas, roughly 20 miles from Uvalde and within Congressman Gonzales’ district.
