Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee Condemns The Horrific Killings Of Two Des Moines Iowa Area Police Officers

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON DC - Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee a member of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and the Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on Crime Terrorism Homeland Security and Investigations released the following statement in response to the ambush and murder of the two Des Moines metro-area Police Officers:

The killing of police officers will not be tolerated in America. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the two Des Moines metro-area Police Officers whose names have not been released and the members of the Des Moines metro-area Police Department. The senseless killing of two of Iowas finest is a tragedy and another reminder of the dangers faced by law enforcement officers who risk their lives to keep us safe. Thanks to the swift and professional police work of the Des Moines area Police Departments and the Iowa State Patrol the suspect alleged to have perpetrated this heinous crime has been apprehended. I join the people of Iowa and Des Moines in mourning the loss of the officers and in cherishing their memory."
