Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee: On the Stabbing Incident at Ohio State

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C.  Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee a senior member of the Committees on Homeland Security and the Judiciary and Ranking Member of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime Terrorism Homeland Security and Investigations released the following statement in response to the senseless stabbing at The Ohio State University in which ten students were injured: Today is yet another sad day in our country because a senseless act of violence has injured ten innocent students at The Ohio State University. I am deeply saddened to learn about that violence has again been visited upon a place of learning. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the victims and everyone affected by this horrible act of violence. I know that everyone in The Ohio State University community and all persons across our great county stand ready to assist the victims in any way they can. We must also commit ourselves to the important and necessary work of ensuring that all educational institutions in this country from pre-K to our great research universities are places where all members of the educational communication can study learn teach and live in safety and without fear of senseless act of violence or terror. I commend all of the first responders involved in this incident for their swift effective and professional work. Americans have a remarkable ability to support one another in times of crisis.
