Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement praising the Trump administration’s announcement of a new Assistant Attorney General for Fraud to address the rampant misuse of taxpayer dollars across the country, including the massive fraud epidemic that has taken root in Minnesota under Governor Tim Walz:
“Since day one of his administration, President Trump has worked tirelessly to eliminate the waste, fraud, and abuse that has infiltrated all facets of our government, and today’s announcement is the latest example of him delivering on this campaign promise for the American people and putting fraudsters on notice.
“As a founding member of the Senate DOGE Caucus, I have been proud to work alongside President Trump in this effort, but as we are seeing play out in Minnesota, there is much more to be done at the state level to ensure taxpayer dollars aren’t being used to fund radical, woke, and even terrorist-supporting agendas.
“With this new Assistant Attorney General for Fraud at the helm, Republicans will take the fight against fraud to each and every state, and I commend Governor Abbott for being proactive in this effort by directing state agencies to investigate any potential misuse of Texas taxpayer dollars.”
