Cornyn Urges Senate Democrats Not to Shut Down Government

With some cooperation of course we can get all of these moving parts done for the American people soon. Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C.Today on the Senate floor U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) urged Senate Democrats to support the bipartisan funding bill that passed overwhelmingly by the U.S. House of Representatives earlier today. Excerpts of Sen. We still have more work ahead of us including the Continuing Resolution. Now I know there are Members of this body who say we want to change that appropriation bill to add some other provisions but I just came back from meeting with some of the Members of the Texas House delegation." Our friends across the aisle need to face up to the reality that if they somehow prevent us from passing this Continuing Resolution it will be on their hands. So I hope theyll reconsider because theyre not going to be able to achieve the goal that they are seeking."  With some cooperation of course we can get all of these moving parts done for the American people soon."
