Cruz: Biden Administration Caught Spying on Nine U.S. Senators

Texas Insider Report WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Biden administration has now been caught spying on nine U.S. senators, including me. That means that 20% of the Republicans in the Senate were targeted by the Biden DOJ. Judge Boasberg – a left-wing radical judge – signed an order ordering AT&T not to tell me that the DOJ was trying to get personal phone records. This is an absolute disgrace.

Schumer Shutdown
Week 4 of the Schumer Shutdown has concluded, and Week 5 is just around the corner. The Republicans have voted again and again to reopen the government, and sadly, the Democrats continued to say, “shut it down.” It’s time for them to stop meddling with millions of Americans to protect their own self-interests and personal gain.

 Mass censorship under Biden administration,
Under the Biden administration, mass censorship campaigns threatened Americans, the First Amendment, and our Republic. As Chairman of the Commerce Committee, I led a hearing this week to expose the deep lengths Biden went to in attempts to censor Americans. The right to “speak out” is the foundation of a free society. It gives everyone – whether a senator or a citizen, a contrarian or a comedian – the power to persuade and to hold the government accountable. That’s why we need to defend and protect the most powerful weapon we have against the government’s ability to censor its own citizens: the First Amendment. I’ll keep working to protect Texans and people across America from censorship that ruins careers, hurts lives, and further corrupts the government.

Legislation to expedites permits for LNG exporters
Increasing U.S. energy exports is good for America, and there is no bigger energy producer than the state of Texas. That’s why, this week, I introduced legislation that expedites permits for LNG exporters to ensure that Texas-produced gas can be sent to our allies around the world. It will enhance American energy dominance, create jobs, and drive investment.

Nigeria Christian Persecutions
For years, I have fought to counter the slaughter and persecution of Christians in Nigeria. This year, I introduced legislation that will lock in the designation President Trump made to make Nigeria a “country of particular concern.” This is a critical step in holding accountable and changing the behavior of Nigerian officials who have facilitated and created an environment conducive to the outrages in Nigeria. My legislation implements additional steps, including targeting those who implement blasphemy and sharia laws in Nigeria, and I am committed to working with the administration and my colleagues to advance my bill and implement these necessary measures.
