Protect College Sports Act

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. –  College sports should open doors for student-athletes, not become an unregulated bidding war. This week, I sat down with coaches, student-athletes, and university leaders to discuss the Protect College Sports Act and how we can restore clear rules, preserve NIL, and keep college sports tied to education and opportunity. 

The Protect College Sports Act is about restoring order to a system that is collapsing due to too few rules and too much litigation. It creates a national standard for transfers, eligibility, tampering, inducements, and revenue sharing to protect the entire college sports ecosystem, not just the schools at the top of the revenue ladder.

Secure America Act
This week, President Trump signed into law the Secure America Act, fully funding ICE and Border Patrol through his term, and providing them the tools to combat trafficking, stop deadly drugs, dismantle cartels, and enforce our laws. President Trump and Congressional Republicans promised to secure the border, showing that the promises we make are the promises we keep. But every single Democrat voted against this funding. We will make sure our nation’s border is secure, and law enforcement is supported, even if Democrats won’t.

NEW HORIZON Act
Data generated in space often goes underutilized because of network bandwidth issues between satellites and ground stations. That is why I introduced the NEW HORIZON Act to enable the Department of War to conduct operational testing of space-based data processing and storage. It will help reduce latency, improve resilience, and enhance operational effectiveness across military and intelligence missions. I am proud to lead this effort to deliver critical information to our nation's warfighters.
