China is Stealing American technology

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. – More Christians are killed for their faith in Nigeria than anywhere else in the world. Since 2009, Islamic jihadists have murdered more than 50,000 Christians in Nigeria, and more than 20,000 churches, schools, and religious institutions have been destroyed.

Last year, I introduced the Nigeria Religious Freedom Accountability Act, which would require placing Nigeria back on the country of particular concern list and impose sanctions on officials involved in enforcing blasphemy and Sharia laws. When Christians are being systematically persecuted, anyone who remains silent is complicit. We need to continue shining a light on these atrocities for justice and for an end to persecution, for peace.

Stop Climate Shakedown Act
Radical environmental groups have waged a coordinated campaign to weaponize our judicial system against American energy producers, including many in Texas, which is why I introduced the Stop Climate Shakedown Act.

Using meritless lawsuits, these radical environmental groups seek to bankrupt our energy industry, kill good paying jobs, and drive up the cost of electricity and gasoline for hardworking families. I am proud to lead this bill to stop that abuse to protect American jobs, lower energy costs, and defend American energy dominance.

Stealing American technology
The American economy loses between $400 to $600 billion every year due to China's intellectual property theft, which the FBI describes as the largest transfer of wealth in human history. 

Last month, a Chinese telecommunications agency, Haitara, was fined $50 million in federal court for stealing American technology. In January of this year, a Google engineer was convicted of stealing artificial intelligence secrets for the Chinese government. This is not a pattern of isolated incidents, but rather a coordinated campaign directed by the Chinese Communist Party to steal its way to global dominance. The consequences for our economy and our national security are massive. This needs to stop.
