The
Temporary Emergency Impact Aid for Displaced Students program provides $359.8 million in federal funds to 20 states assisting the victims of Hurricanes Harvey Irma Maria and the 2017 California wildfires.
Im glad that the Department of Education is providing federal support to the many Texas students that were displaced because of Hurricane Harvey" Rep. Culberson said. Almost one year ago Harvey made landfall in Texas wreaking havoc on our homes and schools. The nation saw the spirit of Texas as many school districts banded together and welcomed Harvey survivors from outside of their districts."
The TX-07 school districts that are eligible to receive a portion of the federal funding include: A Unlimited Potential; Alief ISD; Cypress-Fairbanks ISD; Houston ISD; International Leadership of Texas (ILT); Katy ISD; Promise Community School; Ser-Ninos Charter School; Southwest School; Spring Branch ISD; and Yes Prep Public School Inc.
