Republican Party rallies as polling closes to almost even
Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. Roughly 43 of Registered Voters say they would vote for the Republican contender in their Congressional District while some 47 said they preferred the Democratic candidate showing a significant weakening in Democrats advantage since the beginning of the year for 2018s House of Representatives races according to
a just released Washington Post-ABC News Poll.
Down to just 4 in this most recent poll which is within the polls /- 3.5-4 point margin of error the Democrat Party had held a 12 lead over the GOP in
the Washington Post-ABCs January 2018 Poll when 51 of registered voters said they would vote for the Democratic Candidate and 39 said they would vote for the Republican Candidate.
While voters are still more likely to support Democrats in Novembers Mid-Term Elections the latest poll confirms that the Democrat Partys edge is slowly deteriorating in the upcoming race for the House of Representatives.
Democrats need a net gain of 24 seats to win back the House majority from Republicans who have controlled the chamber since 2011.
The overall results of the
Washington Post-ABC News April Poll of 1002 adults has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 points among the sample of 865 registered voters.
