Dems Admit They're in "Deepest Hole in Nearly 50 Years."
WASHINGTON, DC (Texas Insider Report) — Calling their current predicament the "Dems' dark, deep hole," online media outlet Axios reported earlier today that Democrats "fear things could actually get worse." The article by Axios's Mike Allen & Jim VandeHei has a long laundry list items, and the serverity of the issues is more worrisome than just the long number of items on the list.
In addition to the party enjoying its lowest favorability ever, Democrats have "no popular national leader to help improve it."

"Top Democrats tell us their party is in its deepest hole in nearly 50 years – and they fear things could actually get worse:
- The party has its lowest favorability ever.
- No popular national leader to help improve it.
- Insufficient numbers to stop most legislation in Congress.
- Dwindling influence over the media ecosystem, with right-leaning podcasters and social media accounts ascendant.
- Young voters are growing dramatically more conservative.
- A bad 2026 map for Senate races.
- Democratic Senate retirements could make it harder for the party to flip the House..."
"They're seeing their margins among non-white voters erode and vanish. They're losing young voters. Something is wrong in the Democratic Party."
Add to that today's UnHerd essay by Ryan Zickgraf – it warns of "the greying of the Resistance."

"Where did the kids go? The best answer is that most of them didn’t vote at all," but "when the youth did vote, they leaned Republican."
Progressives are feeling ambivalent about the fact that none other than Sen. Bernie Sanders has emerged as the de facto leader of "the resistance"... the indefatigable and self-proclaimed Vermont "Democrat-Socialist" is getting the band back together for his barnstorming “Stop Oligarchy” tour.
Co-headlined with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, AOC and Bernie can hardley be expected to be real winners when compared to Trump's and Congressional Republican's efforts to eliminate waste, fraud and massive spending abuse throughout the spring and into the summer month. The "dwindling influence over the Media Media Ecosystem, with right-leaning podcasters and social media accounts ascendant," is especially crucial to the far-left wing of the party – which even just this weekend is becoming more visable.

It certainly would not lead to any of the party's traditional Big Ticket Funders having reason to keep things afloat during what is likely to be a year of continued Trump onslaught and DOGE wins.
If and when the party's funding starts drying up, Bernie and AOC will be all that's left to go to the Democrat masses via visible – and increasing radical – emails, texts, and public rallies that feature their images and quotable socialist messaging.
The new media ecosystem – that was mastered by the Trump Campaign, and is now being utilized by the Trump White House's messaging efforts – arose precisely because outlets like Axios act as party mouthpieces. American voters and political consumers continue to say their "trust" in the "Mainstream Media" lingers at the same record lows of the Democrat Party's Approval Ratings – which are in the mid-to high 20's.
Analyst may be accurate to say that today's media is evenly split much more evenly between Left and Right, Democrats and Republicans, however the Trump White House and Congressional Republiicans are running circles around Democrats and Mainstrem Media's outlets.
And that is before you even consider the Inter-party Democrat infighting that's been witnessed the past week concerning Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's future.

- The long-simmering battle within the Democrat Party in Washington, D.C. has not only been laid bare this past week, but to make matters worse, Democrats know it's Donald Trump's successes that are fueling their disintegration – and he's only getting started. All hell has broken loose among the Democrats.

But perhaps the most damning part of the Democrat Meltdown is this – as reported bt Axios:
"Doug Sosnik – a Senior Adviser to President Bill Clinton, and widely followed thinker on political megatrends – told us that this is the Dems' deepest hole in at least the 45 years since Ronald Reagan's victory in 1980.
"Sosnik said the 2024 Election was at least as much a repudiation of Democrats, as it was a victory for Trump."
And he's just getting started.

And he's just getting started.
With Democrats facing more than three-and-a-half years left in Donald Trump's presidency, at this stage "At least we still aren't Trump!" appears to be a strong possibility for their best 2026 or 2028 prospects.
And that's before one even considers analyzing or searching for truly viable candidates from the Democrat's bench.
Is it too early for Republicans to pop the champagne bottles given the Democrats' doom? Of course – the party is an institution with roots going back two centuries. And three years is a long time, after all.
But as March 2025 comes to a close, and as President Donald Trump begins to maybe even hit a stride, the Democrat's now-inherent desire to boss people around while taking their money – all while claiming it's for their own benefit, of course – isn't going anywhere. Not anywhere that's forward at least.
As we began, "Top Democrats tell us their party is in its deepest hole in nearly 50 years – and they fear things could actually get worse."
Something is wrong in the Democrat Party. It may just be Liberalism.
